Residential trip offered to Year 9 students taking GCSE History. The visit will reinforce the classwork related to the fighting that took place on the Western Front and allo students to develop a sense of the scale and intensity of the battles that occurred within such a small geographical area. The planned itinerary includes Hill 62; Essex Farm Cemetery; Hooge Crater Museum; Tyne Cot Cemetery; Langemark German Cemetery; Sanctuary Wood Museum and Trench System; Ypres Town and the Menin Gate. The students will be accompanied by teachers from the History department and shown around by specialist guides from Anglia Tours.
