Throughout the academic year this page is updated with information about the EXTERNAL examinations (e.g. GCSE and A Level exams) for the summer. Please be aware that every year there is a JCQ requirement that all students must make themselves available until the exams contingency day, a day set aside in case of exceptional circumstances that require an exam to be rescheduled. The contingency day for 2026 exams is Wednesday 24th June 2026.
A student may complete this online form using their Office 365 school account to apply for special consideration if they feel there are circumstances that have had an adverse effect on their performance in an exam. To comply with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations, applications must be made by the student him/herself and not parents/carers. A separate application must be made for each assessment affected.
We cannot accept applications made in any other format and they must not be made directly to class teachers, Heads of Department, or the Exams Office. The exam boards require evidence to support applications for special consideration so students should email copies of all relevant documentation to the Exams team on examsoffice@twgsboys.kent.sch.uk once they have completed the form.
