Government funding provides Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys with the resources for day-to-day teaching and learning, but it doesn’t contribute to the wide range of activities that make TWGSB so special.
We are incredibly grateful to our community of parents, alumni, staff and friends for the additional invaluable support which plays a significant part in the continued success of TWGSB. These contributions take the form of:
Regular contributions to the School Fund: Monies raised allow us to deliver and maintain the same levels of academic excellence, pastoral provision and extra-curricular opportunities that we believe our students deserve.
Involvement in PTA organisation and activities: A number of our fantastic parents give their time to organise school events and activities, which help build the school community for parents, carers and staff alongside raising valuable funds for school departmental projects and additional resources.
Donation to capital campaigns: Funding for bricks-and-mortar or large-scale capital projects not funded by the local authority. Our first ever capital campaign to raise funds for a new centre of excellence resulted in our Sixth Form Study Centre, which opened in spring 2022.
Fundraising and Legacy donations.
