With three of the four students representing the table tennis team for the first time, this event was an excellent experience and the boys played some high-quality table tennis throughout their matches.

Congratulations to Sam A (Year 11), Charlie H (Year 10), Jamie B (Year 9) and Sonny L (Year 9) who now progress to the regional finals in February as Kent Schools Champions.

Kent Schools U16s Table Tennis Individuals Event

The entries for the U16 individuals competition were very high this year with nearly 60 players taking part. Sam, Charlie, Jamie, Harry and Lucas all played well. Sam finished third and Charlie made the quarter finals, losing to the eventual winner; Jamie and Harry both won their groups but lost to tough opposition in the next rounds.

There were four entrants – Ben M won all his games to make him Kent Champion and proceed to the next round

and went on to win the final, beating The John Fisher School 6-3

Match for all Year 11 GCSE PE students who have selected football as a practical choice. The two groups will be mixed up in the teams. This will be an 11v11 match with a 15:15 kick-off. To be played at St Greg's as TWGSB pitch unavailable today. The game will be filmed.
