Cover Supervisor

As a result of the school’s continued expansion, we are excited to be looking for two Cover Supervisors to join the team.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is to supervise whole classes during short-term absence of teachers. You will be required to respond to students' general questions but will not be expected to undertake any planning, preparation, delivery or assessment of students’ progress and/or development. You will need to manage the behaviour of the class, in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in front of a classroom and will join a professional, enthusiastic and well-respected team of four.

When there are no lessons requiring cover, Cover Supervisors are expected to use their initiative to support teaching/learning throughout the school by undertaking tasks in various areas of the school, including but not limited to:  lessons/enrichment activities, registration, library, PSHE activities, school day trips, and examination invigilation.

We are currently undergoing a period of transformational change benefiting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021. In September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys will be one of the largest boys' grammar schools in the country.
