We are looking for a number of reliable, flexible and trustworthy Exam Invigilators to support our Exams Team during the busy exam periods. You will join our professional, enthusiastic and well-respected team of 25 strong.

Your presence will maintain the integrity of examinations in an environment that enables a student to perform at their best. You will assist with setting up of exam venues, checking examination packs, assisting candidates and actively invigilating during examinations. You will be required to check attendance and record relevant details, so good communication, both written and verbal, are essential. It is essential that you possess good interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with matters calmly, swiftly and firmly, without being confrontational.

Previous experience in working with secondary school age children would be a distinct advantage, as would any previous supervision experience, although this is not essential. Confidentiality inside and outside the workplace is essential, as is the ability to support the school's ethos and vision into the wider community.

The main campus for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you may be required to work at other campuses connected to TWGSB.

We are currently undergoing a period of transformational change benefiting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021. In September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys will be one of the largest boys' grammar schools in the country. Here we all share the same vision: 'To be the best selective boys’ school in West Kent' and our journey towards achieving this continues to be an exciting one.

We can offer you the opportunity to work with highly able young people in a supportive, well-equipped and forward-thinking school. We offer a friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic multi-disciplinary team, who work hard and support each other to deliver personalised, bespoke education and care.

You will benefit from a positive working environment, with strong support for professional development and specialist teaching rooms. We aim for high standards and the pursuit of academic excellence, helping every student to reach their full potential through the development of skills, concepts and knowledge, within the framework of a caring community. Relationships between staff and students are based on trust, mutual respect and a determination to succeed.

Please note that we will only accept CVs that are accompanied by an application form (see below). We shall review applications as we receive them so apply early to avoid delay! We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
