An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Support Technician to join our busy and well-respected IT department here at TWGSB. Come and join an IT service that is dedicated to empowering people through technology!

The predominant purpose of this role is to support the use of IT within the school environment through maintenance of software, hardware and related equipment, and to provide support to staff and students to ensure administration and learning outcomes are maximised.

Specifically within the department, the Senior Network Technician will support the Network Manager in running the IT infrastructure and systems across both campuses.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in IT and proven experience in an IT environment and working with relevant software and networks. You must be able to demonstrate you have strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

The main campus for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you may be required to work at other campuses connected to TWGSB.

We are currently undergoing a period of transformational change benefiting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021. In September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys will be one of the largest boys’ grammar schools in the country. Here we all share the same vision: ‘To be the best selective boys’ school in West Kent’ and our journey towards achieving this continues to be an exciting one.

We can offer you the opportunity to work with highly able young people in a supportive, well-equipped and forward-thinking school. We offer a friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team, who work hard and support each other to deliver personalised, bespoke education and care.

Staff benefit from a positive working environment, with strong support for professional development and specialist teaching rooms. We aim for high standards and the pursuit of academic excellence, helping every student to reach their full potential through the development of skills, concepts and knowledge, within the framework of a caring community. Relationships between staff and students are based on trust, mutual respect and a determination to succeed.

Please note that we will only accept CVs that are accompanied by an application form (see below). We shall review applications as we receive them so apply early! We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
