Open Events

Prospective Year 7s

Thank you for your interest in Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys. We look forward to welcoming you at one of our open events. Booking is essential for all of our open mornings but is not necessary for the Open Evening, which takes place at the Tunbridge Wells campus. However, please note that this annual event is always very well attended and booking IS required for the Headteacher's talks.

Please note that we are unable to provide private tours of the school outside of our open events.

Year 7s, 2026 Intake

Our next open events are intended for families of prospective Year 7s, September 2026 entry. We hold a number of Open Mornings at both campuses between July and October 2025 and one Open Evening at the Tunbridge Wells campus in October.

Open Mornings
Our morning events take place while the school is in operation so places are limited and MUST be booked in advance. Open Mornings begin at 08:50 with a brief address by Headteacher Amanda Simpson at 09:00, followed by a tour of the school in small groups, each group led by current students. Tours last approximately an hour.

Open Evening: Thursday 2nd October 2025, 16:00–19:00, Tunbridge Wells campus

If you wish to hear from Headteacher Amanda Simpson, you will need to book tickets for admission to the Main Hall, otherwise booking is not necessary simply to attend the Open Evening. Sixth Form Open Event

The Sixth Form Open Event, for 2026 entry, will be held Thursday 13th November 2025, 16:30–19:00. Please note that we are unable to provide private tours outside of the open event.

We hold one Open Evening for Sixth Form entry per year where you are welcome to tour the school and speak to students and subject teachers.

If you wish to attend the formal presentation from the Sixth Form team and current students (held at 17:00, and repeated at 18:00), please note that space in the Main Hall is limited and you will need to book. Booking link available here autumn 2025.
